it's finished

We finally finished the driveway! What a project! We put the finishing touches on it last night when we cut the lines in it and sealed it! I thought it would never get done and it probally would not have without all the friends and family that took the time to help us. We really apprectiate it more than you know!

Fishing

We went fishing about a week ago (I am a little behind) with the Dagley's at the Wasatch Mountain State Park. The Dagely's kids have never been fishing before. They had just gotten Skyler a new Rocket Launcher Fishing Pole and borrowed poles for the other kids. Mike Dagely was sure that no fish would ever be caught on the Rocket Launcher his exact words were "It is impossible". Justin is such a persistent fisher while the other kids were off playing and just casting and reeling there poles in, he had both his and Garrett's pole in the water just waiting. (Garrett does not have a long enough attention span for fishing) Pretty soon Justin's persistence paid off. He felt his line tug and he gave his pole a good yank and started to reel like mad. Justin is so happy! He loves to go fishing and asks when we can go about once a week!

Garrett was not the only one amazed by the fish! We had a great time and thanks to Justin we proved to Mike that the Rocket Launcher Fishing Pole can catch a fish!

ITS OFF

Justin got his cast off yesterday! Although it didn't really bother him all that much (he probally could have left it on forever) I am so happy to see it go. He can now have a normal bath without sitting on a stool and hanging his foot out the side of the bath tub. I also will not have to be on him every minute about not running or jumping. Although I don't see him doing to much for a while he is walking worse now than when the cast was still on.

This was the cast just before he got it off! He had a specific place for everyone to sign it, and before you signed he told you the exact place to put your name!

OUT WITH THE OLD

Finally after 6 years with a cracked and broken driveway we took it out so we could replace it. I am looking forward to not having people stop with business card saying that they could pump it up and "almost fix it," or the questions, what happened to your driveway? And when are you going to fix it? As I am sure my neighbors will be thrilled that they will not have to look at it anymore! I am so glad it is finally out and we can get moving on the new driveway.

Garrett was so excited about the tractor from the first moment Mike drove the tractor up he was glued to the window until I let him go outside to watch. He was so good just to sit and watch them dig. He is definitely 100% all boy.

Cascade Springs

We have been past cascade springs many times on the 4-wheelers but have never stopped and hiked down to actually see the springs. I told Mike a few weeks ago that I wanted to go take a look at it over the 4th of July weekend. We invited our friends to go along with us, Mike thought that since we were stopping anyway that we should try to find a geocache that was there. With Justin having a broken foot I carried him all the way down the hill thinking that Mike could carry him back up. Little did I know that on the way back up Garrett would also want to be carried. I definitely got the rotten end of that deal! Since I carried him the whole way I didn't get any pictures except the one of Justin and Garrett together and Garrett has quiet the look(he was not wanting to sit still for the picture) Cascade Spring was very pretty but not quite what I expected! We failed at finding the Geocache that was suppose to be there, either it was no longer there or we were looking in the wrong place I told Mike he had to give up (after about 30 minutes of all 4 adults looking and all 4 kid whining) But now I can officially say that I have been to cascade springs.

We took off from Cascade Springs to a campground to have lunch then after Mike wanted to Geocache some more. We were able to find 4 caches that day and had a great time with our friends.

I walked down a pretty steep hill to see if I could see the Geocache at this site before we had to carry both boys down the hill. After I had found the cache Mike just brought both boys down at the same time. The didn't seem to mind.

I let Justin drive the 4-wheeler for about the last mile of our ride he loved it so much. He wants to drive at the end of every ride.

4th of July

It has been a tradition since Garrett was born to go to the Oakley 4th of July parade. Every year I talk more of my neighbors into going with us this year Jen and Jonathon Balls, and Jen, Lexie, and Skyler Dagley went with us. Mike missed it because he went boating with Mike Dagley. We had a blast without him though. We got there about an hour early so we could find a place to sit along the parade route. So we spent a lot of time entertaining kids. Thankfully Grandma came prepared with her bag of toys she keeps in her car. It kept them entertained for a little while.

I told my mom to hide the suckers because Garrett makes a huge mess with them. She was not fast enough, Garrett seen them and this is the result. How sad :(

Everything is just fine now. We had a great time.
