Happy St. Patricks Day

Justin has been super excited about St. Patricks Day this year so, I thought we would do something a little different for dinner. We had breakfast and everything was green!  I didn't think that the kids would eat it with Justin being as picky as he is.  But he suprised me.  He ate it and his comment was "it doesn't taste any different"!

Garrett's Solution

Today while Garrett was outside playing he started to walk into the snow that is still pretty deep. I asked him to please get out of the deep snow because his pants were going to get wet. His solution was to just pull his pants up to his knees...then his pants would not get wet. Some of the stuff this kid comes up with just kills me!

A GREAT WAY TO SPEND THE DAY

On Saturday we took the boys and went on a 4-wheeler ride/sledding trip! Justin loved it! We finally found a way that he likes to go for a ride with us! He didn't want to leave! We started out on the trail and rode a little ways and then stopped and hooked the sleds to the back of the 4-wheelers and let the kids ride that way until we made it to the top.

At the top we stopped and let the kids slide down the hill for a few hours! Mike started out pulling both kids up the hill in the sleds. That only lasted a few trips then he made the kids do it themselves. Justin loved it!

Garrett liked it to until he had a little accident! His sled ran right in to these little trees. He had a few surface scratches on his forehead and he cried a lot (I think it scared him more than anything). After his little mishap he was perfectly happy just playing in the snow.

After a few hours we decided to ride down to Cascade Springs. Garrett loves to check out the fish so we went to take a look. All of the trails were packed down from people walking on them.

Back at the top we let the kids sled some more Garrett even wanted to go again.

We had a great day. When I told the kids it was time to head back down to the truck they were both sad. The weather was perfect. We will defiantly try to do this again before the snow is gone completely!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Mike sold his snowmobile this fall hoping that when spring did roll around that he could get a new 4-wheeler! He got it a few weeks after his Birthday! What a great Birthday gift!

TUBING AT SOLDIER HOLLOW

For the last few years we have taken advantage of the family night Tubing at Soldier Hollow. My kids love it. Justin was so excited to go this year that he was dressed and ready to go for a long time before it was time to leave. The weather was not super great that day so I was hoping for the best! It turned out to be a great evening and we had a great time. (As you can see by the smiles on Justin and Garrett's faces)

Cute Things Garrett Comes Up With

A few days ago, I needed to run some errands. I told Garrett he needed to go find his shoes so that we could go run some errands. His reply to me was that he wanted to go to errands house. It was so cute I had to laugh at him. Anytime he talks to someone on the phone his first question to them is "do you want to come to my house?"



He had been really into playing the Wii lately. If thing are not going his way he will look at me and say "this thing really hates me." I have to laugh to him! I never quite know what will come out of his mouth.

SNOW FUN

Justin has been so excited to get some use out of that new sled that Grandma gave him for Christmas on New Years Eve it had finally warmed up enough and his cough was pretty much gone I let the kids go out for a while and play in the snow!  That had so much fun!

They have quite the hill going down our front yard!
