Justin's First Grade Program

Justin did such a great job in his program I was so proud of him! The program was all about career opportunities. Justin's class wanted to be cowboys. He was defiantly in his element! The other first grade classes were plumber, bakers, engineers and movie stars! They were all so cute and did a great job! We went on the first day to watch and then the next day I told Justin just before he left for school that I probably would not be able to come and watch him that day. His eyes got kind of sad as he ask me "Why not?" So because my great neighbor and friend watch Garrett for me I went to the second show also. I did not let him know I was there! On one of the very last songs that they sang right in the middle of the song he spotted me his eyes light up as he mouth "my mom" to himself and he got a huge smile on his face! It was so worth juggling my day to see his eyes and his smile!

Justin sitting with his class singing! (NOT his favorite thing to do!)

Justin being a really great cowboy!

And last but certainly not least this is was Garrett did! He also played with my cell phone, and my camera(and dropped my camera)! I must say though he did a lot better than I thought he would!

Easter

We had a pretty great Easter this year! It was pretty low key for us! On Saturday the we dyed Easter eggs. Both kids loved this most of Garrett's eggs ended up broken because he dropped them in the cup instead of setting them in the cups. He had a great time anyway!

On Easter morning we were up pretty early due to early morning meetings at church. Garrett could not get over all the eggs that were all over the floor. Justin was super excited that the Easter bunny brought them the Mario vs. Sonic Olympics game for the Wii. The bunny also brought them both sand toys, new church cloths and a little candy.

They both looked super cute in their new church cloths!

After church most of us had a short nap before we headed over to my brothers house for grandma's egg hunt and dinner. Justin filled his bucket and then he started to fill Garrett's bucket. Garrett lost interest after about ten sparkly eggs and started playing with the toys.(I tried to get him to pick up normal Easter eggs and he wanted nothing to do with them)

After we ate dinner my brother saddled the pony he had at his house and let the kids go for a ride on it! Both kids loved it!

It was super fun day!

Garrett's Birthday Celebrations

Garrett had a great birthday!! On the 9th we had a grandparents party! Grandma Linda made him this cute little "mator" cake (every wrecker is mator). He loved it!

He got some pretty great gifts from everyone.

Mike and I decided we would build him a sand box. Mike started to put the sand in it right before everyone arrived at his party so he could have cared less if anyone was at his house for his party he was going to play in his sand!!

On his birthday he spent all morning with Mike at work because Justin was sick again and I took him to the doctor! When Garrett and Mike got home for lunch we gave him this cute little sand digger and let him open his other presents! He got the V-Smile pocket and some games for it. He loves it! Him and Justin fight about who gets to play with it all the time!

We had plans to got the the Kangaroo Zoo the night 0f Garrett's Birthday but, because Justin was sick we ended up going on Monday night! At first Garrett didn't want anything to do with the slides but after a while he was having a blast. He just ran from one slide to the next. After we left he kept saying Dad we go back. It was really cute!

Garrett had a great birthday! I can't believe my baby is 3!! He is such a sweet boy most of the time. We love you Garrett!!

Happy Happy Birthday!!!

Today Garrett is 3!! He is such a fun little boy to have around!! We have been working with him recently on his new age, if you ask him how old he is, without missing a beat he pipes up and says 4. Then as I say no you are not 4 he pipes up with oh yeah 3. I think he tells me 4 just to get a rise out of me, he know how old he is. Such a funny little boy. He defiantly keeps us on our toes!! We love you Garrett!!!Happy Birthday Garrett!!!

Discovery Gateway

During spring break I took Justin and Garrett to get there pictures taken. I told Justin that if he was good for his pictures that we would go and do something fun afterwards. Justin was an angel for pictures, Garrett not so much. We will be going back to see if we can get even one good picture of Garrett!! I guess I bribed the wrong kid!!! So after pictures I took the kids to the Discovery Gateway. They had a blast!!

Garrett's favorite part!! It was a little cold and a lot windy but the only thing he wanted to do was go outside to see the helicopter!

Both kids did like the water!

Justin's favorite part was the crane!! Although there were a lot of kids waiting for there turn so he didn't get to do it for very long!

Garrett was also having a blast with the balls!

We had a pretty good time. Justin can't wait to go back!!

Birthday Celebrations!!!

This year for Justin's Birthday we decided to forgo friends and family parties and just have a little party with Grandparents. I then told Justin we would go and do anything he wanted to as a family. He choose to go swimming but on the Friday before his birthday he came down with a fever and cough, so swimming was out. On Sunday night both sets of Grandparents came over for dinner and cake and ice cream. Grandma Linda made a really cute Indiana Jones Lego birthday cake. All Justin wanted this year (it didn't matter who asked him) the answer was always Lego Indiana Jones of the Wii! He was super excited when he opened his gift from grandma Linda and there was his games! He also got some more wheels for his Mario Kart from Grandpa Les and Darlene, and Garrett gave him the movie Bolt! On his birthday he got to opened his presents from Mom and Dad before dad went to work. We gave him his very own BB gun so his can shoot it when we go on 4-wheeler rides. He was super excited. Mike took off work early so that we could go to Trafalga mini golfing and playing the arcade games. Justin had a great time. For dinner Justin got to choose where we went, it was no surprise that we ended up at Teppanyaki's. He loves it!
