Thanksgiving Play

Yesterday in School, Justin's cute little 1st Grade class did a Thanksgiving play. They all got to dress up as Indians or Pilgrims, my mom made Justin a cute little Indian costume which he was super excited about. Each kid in his class had a part they got to say. They all did such a good job with their parts, singing, and dancing. This Thanksgiving one thing I am so thankful for is that Justin has such a great teacher and he enjoys school. Happy Thanksgiving!

4-wheeling in November

The last few weeks the weather has been so nice we decided to go for a 4-wheeler ride. It was a nice day, but I guess you are bound to run into snow at some point when riding in November. It was a little cold but we had fun anyway.
Garrett and Mike eating lunch, he would not eat until Mike was sitting on the rock with him.
Justin got to sled down the hill a few times while the boys were playing on the 4-wheelers in the snow!
Mike was so proud that he got the "high mark"
and then Mike got stuck...

The Same Size???

Justin came home from school a few weeks ago and was telling me about the Thanksgiving program they are doing in his class at school. He said they were to dress like a pilgrim or an Indian. He was sure that his friend Jack would let him borrow his Indian costume, after talking to Jack's mom the costume would not be available so I called my mom to see if she still had the Indian Halloween costumes that my brother and I wore when we were little. She didn't but said that she would make him one with some scrap fabric that she had. What a great grandma!! All I needed to do was get a few measurements for her. Waste 22 inches, Head 21 inches...Me:Justin did you know that your wasted is as big as your head? Justin: It is? I knew I was fat...

If only we all had that problem...

Halloween

This year for Halloween we found the perfect costume for Garrett it fits his personality perfectly.....

he was the perfect angel with his little devil tail peeking out and his devil horns holding up his halo he really is a great kid most of the time but... there are times when his little devilish personality comes peeking out or maybe it is just because he is 2.

We had a fun Halloween trick or treating, we stretched it out over a couple of days. We went trick or treating in Coalville on Thursday night because we were over there anyway raking up the leaves on my moms yard. Then on Halloween we went trick or treating around our neighborhood. Justin wanted to be a knight again this year and we let Garrett be a horse as it was a little bit easier to keep it on. The kids had a great time but they got tired so we headed home. When we got home both kids thought it was great when the door bell rang they had a blast handing out candy.

Pumpkin Carving

This year Justin could hardly wait to carve his pumpkin, Mike was also pretty excited because we found a Mickey Mouse template to use to carve Garrett's pumpkin. It was the first time we have ever tried to carve anything but a traditional Jack O Lantern. Mike didn't know how it would turn out so we bought an extra pumpkin so we could practice on Minnie Mouse. They both turned out pretty good. We let Justin carve his own pumpkin with a little guidance from Mike he thought that was so cool that he got to do his own. Garrett always eager to try new foods had to taste the pumpkin of coarse. I don't think it was as good as he thought it would be.

Fall Fun

Justin has been asking for awhile now if we can rake up the leaves so that he can jump in them. So we started to rake up the few leaves we had to see if they would make a big enough pile. Luck was on his side it was not a huge pile but big enough for both boys to jump in and have a great time.

I think Justin was trying to see how much "air" he could get. After awhile Kyle and Mckinley who live just up the road came to play in the leaves with Justin and Garrett. They decided to bury each other both Justin and Garrett were pretty sceptical about being buried by a pile a leaves. Justin did pretty good but they would only get Garrett half buried before he would sit up. He still had a great time.

Pictures

While at my moms recently I noticed that the photos of my kids were not like the photos of my bothers kids. Both my brothers had photos of there kids that were really close ups of their faces. The photos of my kids were pics that Debbie Forbes took in the spring, they were also cute but they were more of there whole bodies than just their faces. So I decided to do a little photo shoot of our own. I think the result turned out pretty good. I even made 8 x 10's for my own house!
